The Nike Duellist and Nike Air Mariah Campaign was released in 1988 by Wieden+Kennedy. The campaign highlighted the footwear that was Nike's first endeavors in the running shoe market. The campaign’s goal was to raise awareness of their new market by promoting the shoes as cutting edge in style and functionality.

We liked the idea of framing our service as cutting edge. Although we’re not entering a new market, we’re hoping to raise brand awareness to draw a new audience. We wanted to promote our brand as innovative, yet easy. Which is why we adapted this Nike campaign. The look of the ad and feeling of burden relief is familiar and comfortable, allowing us to introduce a new way to get things done without overwhelming our new audience.
